They came attached from the company. there are rails on the sides of the cover that the crossbars can be attached and removed to.

Yeah, I'd say in a group of four, expect at least four incidents (mechanical or eating shit) while riding the W.E. One of the best rides, but for sure a bike beater.

I am still trying to figure that out. Ashville is on the list. There is a bike park near Oakridge that looks fun. We also have Roanoke on the list too.

That bike park is Windrock. Ride that if you all are experienced riders. It is fantastic riding and you can spend the day there. There are DH trails on one mountain and Enduro trails on the other mountain.

If you've got plentiful time I would also recommend Baker Creek Preserve in downtown Knoxville. There are three very wide and fun jump lines. You can literally ride your bikes to the bars afterwards.

Sweet thanks. We have lots of time. Taking 4 weeks off to explore the east. Granted it will take 3 days to get to Nashville and we are going to attempt to work all the way up to Vermont before having to return to the West.

Got my rocky mounts not long ago. Great way to safely and securely mount my bikes in the bed. Quick and easy. Would highly recommend.

Alright guys... one last question as I’m second guessing myself again... I test rode a 19 stuntjumper aloy. Felt great and in control of of it. I didn’t feel it was too heavy at all. Was just on the fence of a new HT Or a FS. After riding this I think it’s the bike for me. Any comments things to look out for before I drop +3k on a non carbon.

Good luck finding anything decent thats carbon in that price range. You need to drop 5 k for decently built carbon framed bike.

Who cares carbon vs alloy. Both materials have come very far and the old wivestales are simply not true. Carbon is no longer fragile and alloy is no longer heavy.

TBH if I were buying a new bike today I would have no issue with alloy. Buy soon though because you will see prices escalate due to the tariffs

BTW, the guy who won road bike nationals this year did it on an aluminum bike, and has been riding it all season. So if its light/good enough for road....

Yup. I ride both. Carbon is slightly stiffer but has better damping. Aluminum is the way to go for environmental reasons. I won't get another carbon bike ever again. Also, not a big enough difference in feel/performance for the average rider. It may take a fraction of a second off your strava pr lol
