I think the endure scene has some good stuff although I havnt really looked. I normally wear knee/shin guards after getting nailed by a big rock following a racer a few years back. Because of this, the armor tends to hold the heat in for me decently so I always rock shorts, but that probably wont be enough for ya. My one buddy used to have a trail dog and you know you got a buddy for life when the dog sends it with ya. I always wondered if the dog would get nervous about hitting the features.

When is your trip?

 

I leave tomorrow AM, and will be playing in the Pisgah dirt come Saturday.

I'd be cool with that. But I'm certain my riding ability is nowhere near where you've described yourself, especially in all new terrain. I was looking at seeing Dupont, then heading over to do the lower black mountain loop that @NWTFIowa was talking about.

 

They're good shit, located 3 minutes from downtown Knoxville, TN. Baker Creek Preserve. Knoxville won a big grant from Bell helmets a few years ago and built three big jump lines right outside of downtown. Here's a recent video of the trails that dropped on PB a few weeks ago

Haha that looks rad man and would love to session that if I ever get the chance to go down south. It looks like the builders of it made it flow very well and you know it must be noteworthy for PB to do a few articles on it.

 

I live in the neighborhood and am very fortunate to be able and ride there from my porch.

Riding there on a dirt jumper is a total blast. My favorite days are taking a few beers out there and just sessioning the bridge and bottom jump continuously. let me know if you ever come down here

 

Yea man life don't get much better than that. Agree man some good beers while sessioning is a solid way to break in the ride for the day and just keep the calm going. Appreciate the offer man, I will let you know if I ever make it down there!
