Right on! You're covered underneath... So are the Methods 16 inch, and the BFG's 285's?

Oh right, details! LOL, I'm dense sometimes... They're 17 with 285/70s. Also, I got a chance to try out Oak Cliff Nature Preserve today. Fun stuff! Might head out there again tomorrow if any DFW dudes want to go slow and session climbs that we don't make, LOL. Found this little spot in the middle.

Which Dakine pad is that? Hows the coverage on the other side. Coverage looks perfect on that side.. does the flap line up with the handle?

I feel like I've had an issue finding a good pad that fit's correctly w/ the wider tail gate on the 3rd gens.

fits good. I think it's the medium pad... flap lines up with the handle just right but the straps need to be better/longer. Feel like the straps don't go around all my frames unless i double them up. I only used them when I'm heading down something super bumpy or long trips to keep the frame from bouncing on the pad. even thought there's a lot of foam there, a hard enough impact on the carbon frames would bum me out.

A shot where you can see how it fits the tailgate and that single strap actually fits around the frame tube on the older blur...

Interesting spot to chill, but man... Nature Preserve means something totally different to us here in Cali.

Yeah, this one's kinda in the hood. I think the main part of "nature preserve", in this case, is just "you can't build another warehouse here". It's slapped right in the lower part of Dallas, so I'm stoked I don't have to drive over an hour to go get some riding in. Pretty sure every other square inch of green space in this state is owned by land developers or ranchers, so public lands are few and far between.

    Here it is....

New steed arrived. I'm traveling for most of the next week so it won't get assembled for a minute, but stoke is high.

Of anyone is interested in buying a transition scout frame, send me a PM, listing it soon. It’s got 100 miles on it, frame is perfect. Size large

How does the tailgate pad work with the Trek Knock Block? I have a Trek Fuel EX 8 and a bought a DCSB with the OEM tonneau cover. Trying to figure out a good way to haul a single bike without putting my hitch rack on. Lately I've just been putting it in the back and letting the handlebar grip sit on top of the tailgate. It works ok for one bike.

Just saw this reply, sorry. I don't find the small awning that useful. I am considering selling it to move to a swing out style that will be double the size.
