I dont remember ever applying this directly to ourselves. Doc would give us the anti-malaria pills,. Then snag our cammies to soak in this stuff.

Love my garden sprayer. I take it on most camping trips, it's a great bike sprayer, shower, gear rinser. BTW, love the hitch cover.

Well, spring break is around the corner and Grand Junction and Moab are looking great.

Heading out to both next week, likely Monday - Friday, to get some camping and riding in. If anyone here is free and wants to meet up let me know, before this weekend, and let's ride some trails!

Which anti-malarial were you on? Mefloquine (PTSD sysmptoms and hallucinations) or Malarone (ultra weird dreams)

Doc was doing you a favor. If you read the side of the can, that stuff is pretty nasty

Wondering if you guys could point me in a direction of a bike rack for rough roads. This is the current setup

The bike rack I made from just a basic tilt rack that I turned into a swing out (version 2.0 is coming). Issue is the way the bikes actually attach. They rock back and fourth, which isn't the greatest on rough roads. Any suggestions? Needs to be a hitch mount.

And also, here are the rides.

Why are you getting rid of them? Those are super handy to mount on any vehicle

Im kinda stuck with a hitch rack. Would that shuttle rack be sturdy enough for rough roads?

not the best picture, but this is why I am limited to a hitch rack
no tailgate, and a cap. The roof was an option, but the truck is pretty high as is.

You didn't like the outboard? I have traveled many miles with that exact system. When not in use I just have them mounted on my GF's subaru

Yes, it'll do fine. And your truck makes me ponder a flat bed every time I see it BTW. I did a good portion of the offroad testing when Ali was developing the Alta Rack. It got worked pretty hard with 6 bikes on it. Although I have seen some of your trail pictures. You go pretty deep in the paint.

Another tacoma owner did the white rim with his rack and bikes on as well.

Oh, and one got heisted for use by the Black Sage Fest crew to use with Carson Storch's tundra. The road to the top is harsh.

ok I'm here. @honda50r do you have a closer view of your bike mounts? like obviously it's two tubes, but what mount on the tubes are you using?

wait...is it the yakima frontloader you're using?

Awesome sauce! Thank you. My next trip I have planned I am kinda worried with my current rack. A friend had a tire swing out break off during the trip, so I want to make sure I am good to go. Some of the trails I got, I wouldn't be bringing the bikes, but on the more "overland" trips it would be nice to have.

Flat bed is a bit of a learning curve, but once you figure it out its awesome to have because of all the usable space. Still wish the original bed didn't break!

Love the hood ornament on the tundra.....

you could just not move the hi-lift...and do the bike there. or somehow make them both work on that side?

They recommend you run a pair of ratchet straps between the top bar of the rack and the truck to take any potential play out of it, but personally, I don't do that and haven't had an issue.

And yeah, I love it! Strangely, that particular photo didn't make the marketing material, but the back of the truck shot did. Strange :notsure:
