Bummer to hear that. I’ve never had any terrible experience with Rockshox, but I definitely prefer Fox kits.

I’m still kinda hesitant on the evil bikes. Feel they’ll be way overkill for my needs. But it’s kinda that itch I may need to scratch.

Glad you're okay and posting... don't take those head hits lightly; they can have delayed effects on your motor functions and body that might go unnoticed or be brushed off as just coincidental. Make sure you have someone that's very close to you and familiar with your habits keep an eye out for any sudden/weird changes in your daily routine.

do you have any gravity oriented trails around you, the kind you can shuttle lap with some buddies? if so I'd say go for it!

if its too heavy you'll just end up like this guy...

I've got a friend with one, but I was also looking at modifying the RCI bike rack that they sell with their newer racks. I'd have to drill holes in mine for it I believe. I don't always bring my bike with me, so having essentially pegs hanging off the rack all the time might get annoying. I'll post what I come up with!

Nope. That’s why I feel any evils will be somewhat out of their intended element here.

Been reading about folks saying the following is a very pedal friendly evil though. Most builds seem to be in the 27-31lbs range. Everything I’ve ever owned has been in that range.

They did a brain CT scan along with checking all the neck and back injuries. My wife keeps a pretty good eye on me when she is here and all my neighbors keep checking in on me. My daily routines have been shot to hell because of the restrictions put on me while my back heals. I have an appointment with a spinal surgeon on Friday, but from what the other doctors told me it is unlikely I will need any surgery in the near term. I think the consult is mostly just to provide more details on what I should and shouldn't do while I heal and also suggestions on pain management.

On a lighter note I think my helmet might get it's own shrine in our house somewhere. I was looking at it and you can see all the cracks in the foam and the outer shell is all deformed and beat up.

Having owned every evil since Kevin's been involved a following or Calling would still be fun in GA. Its a playful, nimble bike thats pedal-able and flickable.

Ooh you could definitely make a little tray that attaches to it. drill holes into the rci rack, and then run a bold through the tray and then through the rack and attach it with some grade 8 bolts. Then it would be removable, and kidna modular for anything else you wanted to attach.

Thats the kind of encouragement I like to hear! The lightly used Following MB seems like the better choice, even over a new V1. I like that the BB is now threaded, and having a rear now Boost is just a bonus.

That helmet sacrificed itself for your noggin. Let it go with dignity. Run it over with your tacoma!

Do it! I just bought a used '18 frame and built it up. I've got 3 rides so far and I'm loving it. A6506957-1.jpg

What’s your pick of these two?

    https://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/2557180/

    https://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/2556505/

I think the first one looks almost new, but slightly lower spec’ed build. Whereas the second looks to have more use, but better higher quality parts.

Your bike looks dope by the way

Thanks! I don't think you could go wrong with either of those. I think the first one is 11spd while the 2nd is 12spd if that matters to you.

Thanks! It's from a mirrorless. Switched from my DSLR as I was sick of hauling it around in the woods. It's a little more compact but by the time you add quality lenses, it seems similar in size

Something like that or modifying what they already build. Or instead I did come across these, but I'm iffy about them. Kinda pricey for 2 pieces of metal IMO. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/kb-voodoo-outboard-bike-mount-ready-to-ship.377374/

Damn man, wish i had that kind of skill. My wife and I have a dslr and have no idea how to use it. She asked for it for christmas to learn and never really did. Now i think i might have a crack at it hah.

Seriously, that pic could be in a pinkbike review or something
