Yo, has anyone ridden a YT Jeffsy? Ya boy is back in the market for a daily rider

140mm 29er is my preference and the YT checks the boxes for budget on the used market.

Advanced glass is running a group buy on here for a decent percentage off if enough guys place an order. This is great for guys who have wide wheel offsets or plan to go LT at some point to keep the tires from throwing shit everywhere.

ahh, ok, found it. I'm running 33" skinnies with no poke right now, so something like that is pretty far off my radar.

Solid man then you should be good. I know for me just upgrading to SCS wheels from the stock beadlocks I went out another two inches. Had I know this ahead of time I would have possibly considered 6" glass with my 3.5 kit up front.

Another question since you seem knowledgeable. I just bought a (used) new groupset for the Cannondale and the front derailleur is the direct mount type, the bike uses a standard clamp on type. I hear there is a simple adapter clamp that can be purchased to convert it, do you now if that's true?

A decent amount from what I hear, I just got up here, and haven't been to the mountain yet... But apparently most of the top is still open with decent coverage, just normal spring/slush conditions. Excited to get up there and find out.

Awe shit, two weeks too late...

Hmm, not entirely positive on that. I don't have a lot of (recent) experience with front derailleurs. I'd take a look at the Origin8 MaxFit adapter. I *think* that'll work, but I've never actually used it.

The oneup isn’t the nicest out there, but will get the job done. I just happen to see those prices as I was grabbing some brakes for my current ‘budget bike build.’

So going to start hitting up the downhill park in big bear. What protective upper body, knees, and other armor do you guys recommend? Already have a full face. Something comfortable and not super bulky.
