It appears to be the DIY-est tailgate carrier alive

I applaud the "High Roller" label being outward and centered!

Looks like a bike light battery. The frame pump may be a little much, but that ON snack pack is a game changer!

Are those self-tappers through the tire straight into the tailgate cover!? I was on board for a second but I think I'll take another train.

Does anyone here have any experience with the REI Co-op cycles? I am trying to decide between the CTY 2.1 and the Trek Dual Sport 2. They seem pretty similar and after the REI rebate they are the same price. I can't really tell too much of a difference in the two as far as ride goes. Any advice or input?

I had one of the old Novara bikes before they became REI labelled. It was a great bike for the money. I have looked at the new REI ones as a commuter option, and they def are decent bikes. The greatest? no, but will def get the job done.

Exact same experience here. Pedaled a couple Novaras. If their newer in-house brand bikes are anything like their other REI branded gear/apparel, I’d anticipate a solid reliable product.

Currently recovering from a Scaphoid repair surgery from a spill at Trestle last season. This thread is going to torture me until I can get back out again :(. Hopefully in another month!

In the meantime, here's a picture of my bike in Fruita last season

I took the plastic cover off. All I have to do is put the cover back and it covers up all the drill holes.
