The East is great for biking if you are in the right area! I ended up going to Mountain Creek this weekend, camped in the parking lot. More videos and pictures to follow.

Yeah they allow camping in the dirt parking lots. Security came and talked to us and said we were allowed to camp, just no open fires and watch out for bears haha. We saw one from the lift.

And yeah, we had a solid crew up there this weekend and pretty much sent every feature there! Will post a video later. Red bull drop is so much fun!

Fuck man...when my truck gets back from the shop we need to meet up. I have only been to MC once, but dammit I didn't know where anything was except for the plank feature. Sounds like a good time for sure. I have seen a bear twice on the lift at shoe, but EVERY TIME they disappear before we can race down to them.

Headed to the Desert to add more miles to the Tacoma (at 18k in 10 months, most I have put on a vehicle in my life in such a short time). Had a blast and rode 140 miles of 7 days. I love the desert this time of year. We have our own version of the desert coming soon. http://coppercitytrails.org/

I like the fork mounts for the lower profile too, and I know the bike is locked in good. I know alot of people say it's a PIA to put the front wheel on, but it only takes a couple mins. It's really personal preference. I never like the bikes hanging off the back of the truck. why risk getting your bikes wrecked if someone hits you.

I used to go for fork mount on all my roof rack mounts for years. Then I went to a 15mm qr and with the adaptor, you lose the ability to lock the bike (only the adaptor). So I moved to a yakima front loader and its great. Now that I have moved to some 27.5+ stuff with boost spacing on the fork, its the only way to go.

I actually sold the roof rack from my WRX but I kept the frontloader incase I wanted to mount it to the Tacoma.

So the front loader will in fact fit a 27.5?

Valves for my tubeless came in. But setting the tire bead was a pain I tried for like 15 minutes with my hand pump and nothing. Finally got my compressor and mcgivered a way to get air into the presta valve

Here's a video from Mountain Creek this past weekend. We got rained on Saturday and it was a slop fest, but still a blast. Sunday was dry and warm and we pretty much sent all of the big features in the park! Next stop, Killington Mountain!

I'm the one in the black shirt, with white bike.

I almost hit that bear on one of the trails last year. Not sure I have ever had such an "oh fuck" moment like that while riding before. The riders in the lift were cheering at my adrenaline fueled ability to swerve around that dumb little thing at the last second. My next though was "oh fuck that was a cub and I just went between it and momma bear.". I don't think I have ever gone so fast down that trail as that one run. lol
