Had a week off work. Got 4 days of riding in. Trying to get in shape for the meetup this month..

Biggest days were Beech Mountain on Thursday and Warrior Creek on Friday. Here are some pictures of Beech. Didn't take any action shots but got a few off the lift. A few of the runs didn't have lift access so I had to crank up a service road to the top of the resort a few times. Wasn't planning on climbing so much. I was tired on Friday and WC kicked my butt. Good times though!

My little Roscoe hardtail did great! Tough little bike.

Not the Hightower, but got a good deal on it. I demoed 5 bikes and went with this one. My advice would to be ride a few, see what feels best, get it, and never look back, just get out and ride.

Never mind...figured it out. There was an extra spacer that had stuck to the driver body. Decided to order the 54 tooth ratchet upgrade anyway, hope it’s a noticeable improvement.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
    Like that color :)

Picked up an older Thule rack for $20 on fb! It was missing one of the arms so I took off the tray but I'll be on the lookout in the future. For now I have a single rack for $20 + $15 1.25" to 2" adapter

So we basically got the same bike! Most of the 2019 R8 goodies trickled down to the 7 in 2020.

Ok guys. So I know that Trek uses a proprietary hub design on my Roscoe. If I wanted to upgrade my hubs/wheels what route would I take? It seems like the hubs on this bike may be its Achilles heel...

    Some stuff
Front should be Boost 110.. standard. The rear boost 142 os the issue. Its a wider skewer. That is precisely why I went with a Salsa Timberjack for my hardtail boost 110/148, WITH swappable dropouts.

On the rear hub... I have no idea, but, I AM curious

This was the first thing that pops up when googling "boost 141 hub."

Disclaimer: I have not watched the video nor do I have any additional knowledge if this is a worthwhile investment. Just stretching the google fu.

Yeah man. I saw that video as well. Looks like a good option for me. Just didn't know if any of my TW peeps had and experiences to share. It also looks like it won't be compatible with my 12 speed cassette.

I had an 2018 Roscoe 8 last season, and this was the reason I sold it. At the time no one made 141QR. It's a shame, loved the bike
