Thanks! And yea i have rode clipess on a few road bikes never have tried them on a mtb. But i use to ride a dirtbike and i seem to have brought the habit of throwing my inside leg out when trying to lay it down in corners :D

Oo and as of right now i dont have any fancy shoes yet..have been using a old pair of nike running shoes where the sole is worn out. didnt have any problems even in the rain the other day. However the pedals are brand new ( inserts too ) so that may have something to do with it. A pair of 5 10s are on the list for sure though

Sold the roadie today. Hard pressed but at the end of the day in the last 12 months I rode it 28 miles. I'm just not into road riding anymore. Immediately after I made a purchase.

Welcome to the fam Stache 5. This thing is a fucking tank.

I picked up a pair of Crank Bros Stamps in large (I have Hobbit feet). These pedals are like half an acre each! Now to find some decent shoes for my 11 EEEE frickin orca flippers.

I have actually started wearing my 5.10's and platforms on my road bike. Slightly less efficient but much more comfortable to be able to move my feet around on the pedals ... bottom line is I can ride further with less foot pain, which unfortunately is my limiting factor road or mountain. But I have ridden a couple of metric centuries in my 5.10's.

Best pedal I've ever had have all been canfield brothers.

And shoes I wear shimano am5's. 5.10 switched their toe boxes to broad and flat so my feel always slide into the toe and end up sore after a day of park riding.

Finally got the stable down from the evil, kona operator and surly ogre to just the evil. It's like a surgical knife the size of a broadsword.

What frame size is your bike? Is there any way you could post a side shot?

the only way it fits is if i lock the fork into the mount, then i have to roll the rear tire down the flipped up tailgate if you can picture that
bike's in the shop til saturday..
i tried to tighten the cable for the brakes. then i realized that my brakes are actually hydraulic.. after the oil started pissing out all over the floor
so it'll take me a few days until i can get a pic for ya

    Sweet ride man!

I've also been riding the Canfield Crampon Ultimates for about a year on my Evil Insurgent... Really liking them so far. Had to tighten up the axel nut once the DU bushings were broken in. For the first month I ran them with some old Vans skate shoes, and they were ok... but coupled with a proper pair of Five Ten Freerider shoes... they are stupid awesome!

For the first few months i would switch back and forth between clips and flats, using clips for longer rides. Now i just stick to the flats on that bike and keep my clips on the hardtail.

God damn that thing is sex. I imagine it must be sick to ride.

Anyone know what happened to 2016 dbag? Looks like he got the boot?
