Dude WindRock is legit. Downhill isn't particularly my favorite (would recommend 180mm+ travel), I am more of a technical guy. If you are over this way I can show you around WindRock XC. I have helped build over there in the past and it is an absolute blast.

Another hidden gem at Windrock is wheeling up to the top and riding your bike around the OHV trails all day it's an absolute blast.

Should see you at Stanley Gap

When I lived in Ohio we'd come down to windrock a couple times a year. Snakerock and the section of trail after the creekgap immediately off to the left that rops back in are fun.

Here is my set-up. It's an Undercover Ridgelander cover that came with the crossbars and I picked up the Rocky Mounts TomaHawk for the fatty tires. It takes about 30 seconds to throw the bike up and lock it down.

Had me a bit of a bike wreck yesterday. Went down a stair step of rocks about 9mph and on the last rock it dropped more than expected (probably about a foot and a half) and my tire lodged on something and sent me flying over. Landed directly on my arm, see swollen knot on my arm, and rolled about 3 times. I had too much adrenaline going to think of getting a before pick of the tire but let's just say it looked light a slightly rolled up soft taco. We bent it back out so that I could ride the bike off the trail

Question is now: what's the best way to get this fixed? Do I replace it? Is there something that can make the wheel straight again? Recommendations please.

Dang! I am sorry to hear about your wreck but glad you are ok.

Sometimes, if the damage is small, a mechanic can true the wheel back to normal, but based on your video I don't think that would be an option.

At this point, your only option would be to replace the entire wheel =/

I would also look to see if any damange was done to the rotor and brake caliper.

thank you, I am lucky to have not broken my arm. I think the only reason I didn't is because 3 years ago I broke it in a car accident in the exact spot of that swollen knot so the bone is strong right there.

There didn't appear to be any damage to the rotor or brake caliper. I am not opposed to replacing it all completely, but I have no idea where to even look into getting a new wheel/tire. Should I go for a tubeless setup?

    glad it wasn't worse!

that's good. If you have a local bike shop, a professionals eye on the eye and brakes would not hurt.

There are tons of websites out there that you can easily buy a new front wheel and tire on. I Am sure if you jsut google the brand of your wheel, you could probably find your set online.

Now - that being said, it is sometimes difficult finding individual wheels. When i taco'd my front wheel a few years back, I could not find a solo rear wheel and was forced to buy a new set. So, just be aware.

Now if you dont care if they dont match or not, ebay and other websites should have plenty of singles.

I switched tubeless about 6 years ago and have yet to look back. Have had maybe 1 flat since switching and it is an easy transition to make. lots of Youtube tutorials on how to do it. or your local bike shop can do it as well.

Take the rim to your LBS where they have a truing stand. They will be able to tell you if they can fix it or not.

Standard, weekday trailhead shot. I'm pretty lucky to live near Fort Ord, it's a great little area. That's my 4Runner next to my buddy's taco.

Been a while since I've posted here, but I have been busy biking! :bikewhoops:

Here's a few pics from the Dirt Rag Dirt Fest in PA that I went to. Allegrippis trails are amazing and definitely should be a destination for people that are 4-6 hours away. I've never ridden trails like it before and it hardly felt like you were climbing. We rode 80 miles over 3 days!

Here's a few other random shots from biking at various places:

Haha nooo way. He would never be able to keep up on those trails. Average speed was around 10 MPH and I had to switch my forward foot to the other side because you are coasting so much and my leg was cramping!
