If you dont have a truing stand I wouldn't attempt it yourself. Any bike shop can straighten that out. Just check for cracks, or creases in the rim. Depending on what rim set you have and how bad the damage really is you might be better off buying a new wheel. But this is just my opinion. Hope you get this "straightened" out. :fingerscrossed::bikewhoops:

I've got the Undercover Ridgelander on my baby and its pretty sweet. Completely takes away from the beds tracking system which is a pisser but overall I'm satisfied with the look and its function.. I opted for the fork mount rack to eliminate overhang and to allow cover to be lifted with bike on it.

side note, I also have the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 hitch style rack (note pictured).. This Rack seems to fit the best and allows the tailgate to be down with zero interference.

Ive also designed a gear bag that holds everything securely in the bed of your truck.. As soon as I find a way to hang it in the ridgelander I'll post pics.. here it is without the cover.. With enough interest, I may start selling these on ebay.. Completely vented front and back Helmet, shoes, and tool pockets.. The bottom unzips and carries full size pump and camelback..

We rode at Downieville (California) this weekend and encountered a youngish looking black bear right by the trail. We stopped, exchanged stares, and then he shuffled off. Here's my Taco with our bikes on the OneUp rack. It folds down and clears the tailgate just fine, an easy one-handed operation with two 30# bikes.
    IMG_7906.jpg
For those that know the area, there is still too much snow for the shuttles to get to Packer Saddle, the normal downhill start point. So we rode up from town, up 2nd Divide and down 3rd and 1st Divides. Our first time there, I'd say the riding was great and the up/down mix was just right without a shuttle. I did get a rear flat though ... my third on a Spec Ground Control. Terrain was rockier than our usual coastal stuff. Going back to Maxxis I think. Also, mosquitos and poison oak were everywhere.

Maxxis is better and if you are riding the mosquitos don't bother you! We have a couple places on our local trails that we know NOT to stop for a break. Standing water is close by and the mosquitos will eat you alive in those sections if you stop.

Mosquitos were only a problem at camp. Here in a California we don't have many bugs ... I'm sure folks from the upper Midwest let alone Canada or Scotland wouldn't have even noticed them!

I'm moving to Reno at the end of August and looking forward to checking out Downieville. Any other places you recommend? I'm used to all kinds of conditions here on the East coast and cant wait to see what that area has to offer.

Here's a video I made from Thunder Mountain Bike Park over memorial weekend! I sure am going to miss all the different lift access places on the East but hopefully I will be a regular at Northstar though!

Haha Yea Claudio is kinda known for his commentary. He now does all the course reviews. If you want a good chuckle look up his Redbull rampage course preview, its the one that got the ball rolling!

I've never ridden in Reno but a friend moved there recently and says there's great riding right next to town. But not much further, there's Carson City and Tahoe, plus Austin, Downieville, Mammoth (bike park with lift, top is over 11000 feet!), Auburn down I-80 if there's too much snow in winter. There's no shortage of legal riding, but you'll have to get used to the altitude!

It was taken in Spirit Lake Idaho. The place I grew up. These trails however weren't there then, so when I was home last I found out where they were and gave them a rip. The picture is facing south. If you could look to the right of the picture Mt Spokane would come into view. IMG_6362.jpg

Here is the trail head on the downhill portion.

Looks like some good stuff we might need to take a trip. I've got a good friend I could stay with in Spokane. Also I was just looking it up Discovery opens June 17th if you want to try and hit that up!
