I did a handful of races and a bunch more training rides with a very accomplished racer when I was in college. Dork factor, maybe. Adrenalin factor, 11. Going fast on singletrack is fun, but going uphill twice as fast as you could on a single is super fun and greasing a downhill while working together is such a good feeling. Crashing, on the other hand, is twice as scary.

The big rack companies used to make tandem racks, if they don't anymore I'll just make my own.

Ha! You don't really smell, or at least notice it, while riding. Besides, I'll be there Capt. and it was the stoker's idea so, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That looks a lot like the shot my buddy took of some fools trying to ride main chute a few weeks ago.... They looked like idiots sliding on their hips trying not to lose their bikes. They definitely did not "ride their bikes down."

While I'm here, I figured I would post a picture from our last big trip from Canada to Baja, and back up through Utah that we shot a few videos during. I just recently posted this picture to our instagram, but figured it might be appreciated here too!

That looks like a great time. BC to Baja is a rad road trip. Still hoping to make it up your way one of these days. I was gonna go this summer, but stupid 'Rona got in the way.

My grandma lives just south of Bellingham and I was gonna go see her as an excuse to ride my heart out. That's on pause too. I do need to make a Whistler pilgrimage on of these days.

I’d like to check out Bellingham too. Only so much riding that can be fit into a weekend though haha

I've got a bunch of family just north of Bellingham, used to spend my summer there as a kid, have not been in years but need to get back up there and take the bike this time.

Galby is a perfect place for a 3 day weekend of pedalling your heart out. My only gripe about it is all of the fun trails on the south end are mostly in parallel with each other like a ladder and no quick way back to the top, just a long pedal clockwise around a logging road. So you have to think ahead a little bit.

I got out for a ride first thing this morning. One of the local trail systems is a defunct ski area which is privately owned, but open to the public. After about a mile of switchbacks up the ski slopes there is this Coke machine on the side of the trail. It's normally stocked with Founders All Day IPA for 60 cents!

Which trail system is that? I may have to visit when I go to the home office in Erwin.
