For you cyclocross/road guys - what's the best method of transporting? Hitch Rack?

I can't fit two bikes in the bed.

My next N+1 bike will likely be a steely hardtail. Although my full rigid Fatboy is a riot and a half in regular dirt already!

N+1 indeed, I'm actually considering something other than steel for my next bike in the form of a Salsa Beargrease. I feel dirty just thinking about it.

What fork mount are you using?

OEM front bed rail with Kuat Dirtbag, 15mmx110mm for the Fuse,
standard cheap Amazon fork mount for the Crosstrail.

neither bike fits well in the new DCSB, lol.
KB Voodoo crossbar coming soon to mount them on top of the bed cover.

Yup, that approach is brutal! Puke Hill, right? Definitely walked the majority of that one :puke:

The bike is mostly stock still, but I added a dropper which has been a real improvement. The 2018 frame has boost spacing which would have been nice, but oh well...

I'd like to upgrade the fork for more travel and ultimately put a lighter drive train on there, but that's some $$$ and ski season is fast approaching!

Yup, Puke Hill. Even as a local I have successfully pedaled up it ONCE so far. Many valiant attempts were made and got me 3/4 of the way up, but that last section when the grade gets cranked to 11 is where I always fizzle.

Watching Cali folks get off the shuttle vans and get told "You are at 11K feet, cool it on the climbs" and then watch them try to KOM that hill is always a good laugh. Altitude will kick your ass any day of the week.

How has the flipped bulkhead been working for you? Does it rub on the rear window trim ever?

I like how several other users, myself included, keep finding this to meet our exact needs. Yet no luck on bringing back @kbvoodoo ?

I've had the truck twisted up pretty good off-road and it's been fine. If you flip it you'll see it's not that close, just closer than before.

There's a whole bunch of reasons why we aren't bringing the outboard bike mounts back. Any other fabricator is free to take the design and run with it.

Technically this isn't my Tacoma, but it did make me want to Hasselhoff. I spent the day in Santa Cruz, CA doing some urban/trail mountain biking. Nice & cool day in the sun :)

**rode across that bridge, it's the same one from that oldschool movie Lost Boys
**No filter on that last shot, that's how it looked
