Aren't you supposed to do what YOU want on your birthday? :boink: :D

I'll be 35 on the 18th. Our baby is due on the 20th, otherwise normally I never mind following my spandex-wearing wife around on the trail birthday or not. ;)

Yeah but I don't mind gravel. Plus it's our anniversary today, 9 years, so the whole weekend is always a combo of anniversary/birthday.

Congrats on the kiddo, your first?

Just rode 16 miles of the Slaughter Pen trails in Bentonville last week and it was a blast. There is something there for everyone, including 100+ miles of paved greenway if you bring more than one bike. They're also constantly building new XC trails, jumplines, and downhill runs everywhere in and around town, so you could probably ride there for a month and never do the same route twice.

Can't speak to your other options, but Bentonville should definitely be a destination for anyone/everyone who loves mountain biking.

If you go there, I also highly recommend the Prairie Creek Campground up by Beaver Lake. (try to get site 94 or 96 for epic views of the lake).

@paleh0rse cool thanks! I have an Aunt near There too. I’d bring my tent along and definitely check out the camping also!

I’m having some new I9 hydras built up. My plan is to leave after there done in about a week! I’m still curious of the Kingdom trails too, from Pittsburgh I can escape either direction!

I’ve been up in MA for a while so I’m hoping to check out Kingdom soon. I want to say I read somewhere that they were having some land use issues recently on parts of their trails though. I know that’s always an issue since it’s on so much private land

I read that too. Something about rude bikers yelling at someone on a horse that was actually the land owner.

    What's your skill level/expectations? Gnar = Kingdom / Mileage/Easier = Bentonville

This is what I’m used to riding with an average of just over 100’ gain per mile or more.

Hoping to get back to bentonville soon. Made a trip out there last year. However about a month before my trip I broke my leg Bouldering. So didn’t get to do all the things I wanted to do. Luckily my sister was a manager at one of the breweries out there so that’s what I spent days. That and Onyx Coffee.
