Got in my truck to go home from work, it had been sitting for approximately 8 hours.

All my radio presets were gone, all my parking sensor preferences and TSS preferences were back to factory spec.

All my gauge options on the three screens were reset/different.

Takes time to get all your settings back how you like on these new trucks.

But I did notice that the tire pressure sensor monitor stayed for some reason after fueling up on the way home. So that’s the bonus here. Or maybe the truck wasn’t off long enough to forget.

Could this have been some sort of over the air software update that messed with my settings?

(Cross posting this on Tacoma4G for more info as well)

That would really piss me off. Especially settings that can only be changed via Carista or the dealer.

Got in truck this morning and my HU screen reverted back to bright white. Have had it on dark mode since I changed it when I bought the truck.

You may be onto something. Hopefully it won’t keep messing with things going forward

my ram 1500 would do that every time it would update. I quit storing presets and favorites in it. Hopefully the Tacoma is not the same way.

Yup. It didn’t save the TPMS screen. Only thought it did because I fueled up and truck was off for a minute or two. I was hopeful though.

Am I understanding this correctly, you need a subscription to see/use the TPMS? Thanks

technically no, but for some reason it will not stay saved to one of the 3-main dash screens. In my case I think it has to with one of the remote connections in the toyota app. You can still go into the settings and see it and set it to the home screens, it will just disappear when you turn your truck off.

    Precisely.

A few others on Tacoma4G are also saying immediately following the app expiration it’s also resetting everything. Sounds like incentive to keep paying Toyota for the connected services. Jerks
