I had the WeatherTechs on my last vehicle...not impressed.

When I installed them, 3 of the 4 fit perfectly. The only problem was the front passenger mat had a slight bow inward from the center console by where your left foot would be.

I thought it would work it's way back to a flush fit after some time, but it never did.

With my truck, I use the OEM mats that came with it and they work well enough for me.

I went with Husky Xact Countours for mine. I've had Weathertech and both offerings from Husky(Weathertechs in a Mazda CX5, Husky Weather beaters in a Subaru Legacy, and now Xact Contours in my Taco). These are so far my favorite.

In my experience Husky seems to offer a bit better floor coverage and have stayed in place better, but material on the Weatherbeater models isn't as nice as the Weathertechs. The Xact contours are mostly rigid but still somewhat flexible which seems like it will be resistant to the edges rolling over with age and they lay better along the floor. Husky weather beaters seemed to roll worse than the original Weathertech mats that I had. Weathertech now has a newer mat that is comparable to the Xact contours from Husky, but I have no experience with those. The Xact contours have also been nicer to clean. Just spray them down with Adam's rubber cleaner, hit them with a tire brush and hose off. The others always had a streaky/inconsistant color to them after being cleaned and my OCD always had me trying to find a product that would turn them a consitant dark black and not be slippery.

I use the OEM ones that came with my Tacoma. Easy to rinse off if the vacuum doesn't quite do the job. I have a set of Husky mats in my GX460.

WeatherTech front and rear. Quality isn't as good as the previous set I had in 2012. Current set (purchased in 2021) catches most of it but the fit isn't as good. There are gaps, especially on the drivers door near the foot-rest and kick panel. They are also impossible to get completely clean no matter what I've tried. I've used everything including powdered dishwasher detergent and full-strength liquid cleaners, and with the stiffest scrub brush there is, and when they dry, they still look dirty. No better with the car-wash pressure wand or with my own pressure washer with the scary aggressive nozzle, which blasts everything off of my outside cast cement front stairs and leaves them looking like new. Not so with the floor liners. They look dirty when dry.

To be fair though, the rear one piece floor-liner did catch an entire travel mug of coffee that got dropped back there behind the driver's seat.

What material are these Tuxmats made out of? It looks like they have stitching in them. Is it a type of fabric?

Those sure look to be the ticket! I'm using Husky's now, and when prepping before heading out for a known muddy / snowy slop fest, I line all the carpets under the mats with carpet mask. A pain, but carpet still in great shape and clean.

Will get a set of these when they become available. The lower walled matts just don't protect enough when getting in with mud and snow caked boots, and the door sill area always prone to water / mud damage from melting snow. These look like they take care of those two issues nicely.

Went from none, to OEM, to Husky. No regrets.

I had original weathertechs on my first gen. As someone else mentioned they were too rigid, almost like a plastic, and would bow away from center console. Never had an issue with them moving though.
I’ve had the HPs in this truck for 2 years, and they are much more flexible, less prone to curling and have more coverage up the center console. It’s more of a firm rubber than rigid plastic. With the little twisty locks they don’t go anywhere but I’d appreciate the extended coverage the tuxmats offer for the salty snow melt all winter, so I’ll be in the market for them eventually.
If I had to choose between the two weathertechs again, I’d pick HP all day for less than $20 more.
This is all just for the fronts. I kept the oem rubber mat in the rear because I never have passengers back there.

It seems more like a molded or woven vinyl with the stitching on the edge.

Scrubbed some tires, and knocked a dent out.
That sucks to hear. Those tuxmats do look good. The one thing I liked about the weather techs when I had them was that you could drop a full drink on them and just pick up the mat and dump it out without any getting inside the vehicle. Not sure those tuxmats would do the same but Im definitely gonna consider them now.

Right now I have whatever was like $25 at costco. Made by goodyear from recycled tire. Trimmed em to fit, but their definitely just place holders for whatever I decide on next.

replacing with aftermarket because the aftermarket have better coverage.

double floor mats are part of the problem that created the unintended acceleration drama!

Even with only 1 layer of floor mats I managed to install it over my gas pedal. Caught it, but not before I started driving.

Yes you guys can laugh at me and call me names. I deserve it.

I would have kept the oem ones if they would have added them to my truck.
