welded what I could to keep the warping/movement to a minimum. I may have to recruit you to help pull it off for final welding and paint.... would have Josh help but he managed to break his foot/ankle playing soccer with a bunch of kids lol. He's out of commission for a few weeks

Had a more productive day than I planned today. I plug welded some holes a couple years ago that the old owner put in the roof for a light bar. I never put Bondo on them, and the paint I used was starting to show some small rust spots, so I sanded them down and did some Bondo work, sanded them down again and put some automotive-type spray paint on them.

Pulled the cage last week and finished the welding and painted it with some tractor implement paint with a brush in an attempt to keep it from needing repainting down the road.

Got the cage put back on and mostly welded up. I'm going to do a lot more playing where it attaches to the inner fender.

I like the rolled tube and your body tie in is way cleaner than mine! I've just got as much weld as you can get along that seam on each side

Thanks man, even though the driver side is much worse :D. I fucked up the bend that goes into the fender so it's not perfect, but since it will be covered by the fender, I let it slide.

Ha, I did the exact same thing on one side of mine too. I was running out of DOM and it became good enough because it was going under the fender

Surprised you didn’t do one above the wipers to tie the corners in

You can’t do a bar there because of the way the hood swings. It’d have to be like 6 inches up off the windshield to clear

Trail-Gear pump and cheapo resi installed. Mounted them directly together for the best flow possible and made a bracket to help keep things a little more sturdy. So far, not too impressed with the pump as it doesn't feel any better than stock, but that's just with street driving and limited 4wd driving in my yard. Time will tell how it works though....

hahaha. I was wanting to get some better undercarriage shots with the gopro but in all honesty, there isn't a lot of places to mount it that wouldn't have gotten ripped off by a rock or something. I figured this one would be good enough though for the first time using it.

The upper link maybe? For the rear, maybe on the shock mount crossmember, but I'm sure people would rather see the 3 link working than the rear leafs.

not much room on the upper link, thought it could be done but the view wouldn't be too good. And yea, I don't want video evidence that the rear leafs suck.... I already know they do lol

One thing I think you should consider, that might help you out some on those steep ledges is to put an attach point for your winch cable on the front axle so you can use the winch to keep the front suspension from unloading when the truck is so far nose-up. You'd have to quit procrastinating about putting some hard-wired winch controls in the cab though. :D

I def still want to do the in-cab winch mounts lol.

The suck-down winch idea wouldn't work... I'd have to rig up some sort of pulley system to get the winch to pull up on the axle and there just isn't enough room to do such

Most people with a suck down winch mount it just for that
