It sags as soon as it is welded... The material expands like crazy.

BTW, you still want this spare 35?

Yes, sir. If you show up at Citrus, bring it, otherwise, I come get it once I get ready to do something with my bumper/winch.

Might not have the room to bring it with me, but I may be coming through Tampa next weekend on my way out of town so I could possibly make the exchange if you will be around next Friday

A few more pics from last weekend. Going to try and get the rear shocks mounted outside the frame with these hoops I whipped up and get rear bumps installed before I hit the rocks this weekend.

Doesn't look like a lot of uptravel. You'll probably be riding the bumps a lot on quicker trails between obstacles. Just an observation. Otherwise,

Dunno if it's just the picture, but I was thinking it looked more like 3.5-4", plus I think Todd modified his 63s to reduce the spring rate, IIRC.

Nothing done to the 63s other than having the overload removed. The bump makes contact at 2.5”, and then will compress another couple of inches because of how soft they are. At those measurements, the springs will already be going into negative arch.

Guess that's the problem, innit? Mine sit pretty much flat at ride height and any up-travel results in negative arch, which is how it was designed to work. My understanding is that 63s weren't designed for negative arch, which I guess is why they have more down travel than Taco leaves. Personally, I'd like to have a bit more up-travel. I'm slamming the bumps pretty hard with my current setup on the higher speed trails, and I have about 4" of up-travel. Guess you can't have everything though...at least when it comes to leaf springs.

This was taken today at full flex (not full compression) and the shock had about an inch of shaft showing which is right where I intended it to be. But, these spring don't droop put near as much as I anticipated, only extending the other shock to 11". I ended up moving the lower mounts down another 1.5" and taking the 3/8” spacer out from the bumps to get a tad more uptravel.

Couple cool GoPro shots from last weekend... First was shot fully compressed hitting a large whoop and the second is coming off of that large whoop with all but the front left tire off the ground.

Trip report 12/28 River Rock in Milledgeville, GA

Cool little place, only about 7 hours from home. A good mix of clay/mud/washouts/rocks, especially for a place so far south. Had about a 90% brake failure an hour after pulling the truck off the trailer. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary so I continued to wheel for another 4 hours until the brakes completely failed on an obstacle so I hobbled it to the trailer and started heading back south.
