    Ongoing Process
    I have been lurking for years off and on and time to join. Just purchased a new '17 Tacoma V6 w/ Access cab SR5 package Black. Sad to say my 2003 Tacoma (along with my camper in tow) was totaled a couple weeks ago by a girl texting and driving. It was in excellent shape with only 132k miles on her. I was emotionally attached to that truck. Had it for 14 years.


    Anyhew, got a check from insurance company and went shopping and purchased my new one. Very pleased so far and have been reading these forums non stop for ideas on customization. So much info on here and can't wait to start working on my new one.

    Wife and daughter in the car as well and nobody injured. Luckily the camper added a little padding. I was stopped waiting to turn in my driveway and she was doing 55-60 and didn't even hit the breaks. Needless to say I had a few words with profanity imbedded throughout. Thing ran like a top. Bought new in '03 for $18,000 and got $10,600 from insurance. Not a bad investment for 14 years of fun. Oh well, on to a newer model and lots of computer upgrades that I have never experienced in a vehicle. My new one is like a spaceship compared to old greenie! I'm ready for some mods already seeing everyone else's taco pics.
