AllPro Bumper Suspension sag

Looks like I may have to rethink my purchase... Maybe I'll just hold off on any bumper for now until I save up a little cash for some new coils?

 

besides that he's an employee there . he can talk the products up all he wants but what's in black and white is what matters. for all we know its stamped steel thats thin as hell . and boyd does his research so he has that right to call it out and hes not shitting on a sales thread

This whole "om6 All-Pro is crap" shit is SO old. The guy was fucking asking about a suspension upgrade, not about the quality of the bumper. Don't take over his thread because somebody has a different opinion.

 

Do Relenless aluminum, its around 50lbs and is still strong.

iirc most sites tell you if you are installing an offroad bumper to get the bigger spring

 

Thank you all for your relevant posts. Mods should be enforcing this a little bit more, not encouraging it. There's a time and place for discussing the proclaimed dimensions of a product. Take it up with the company directly, or go to their sub-forum and directly post it there.

I don't see anything about the bumper's dimensions or weight in the OP's question. Am I missing something?

 

To the OP, yes, get new springs and shocks. My ARB is heavier than All Pro (They're designed with different uses in mind, mine is for bambi bowling not high approach angle rock crawling) and it made my bumper swat something fierce. That wasn't the issue though, when going over bumps it rocked the suspension hard and made whatever I was going over seem 3 times the size than it really was.

This sounds like a healthy debate. Many like their bumper - some don't. I just think a few feathers were ruffled when there was a claim of 3/16 - inferring that the whole thing was that thick! Having worked on a few... I don't think it was that thick. It's a different philosophy. Why weight down a bumper with welds and thick stuff if you don't need or want that?

People can draw their own conclusions.

 

A healthy debate that shouldn't be taking place in this particular thread.
