One thing that does make sense to me was that with the allpro, it will give if you say... hit a tree, other bumpers will not. I think that give is actually better so it doesn't transfer all that energy to your frame and cause weak points there instead of damage to the bumper.

As others have said though, they are different "tools" for different jobs.

This whole thread and no one went out and just measured one?

I measured the center section and it is 3/16" and the wings are approx. 0.10714285714286 or 3/28". EDITED, SEE 2 POSTS DOWN

3/32" is the correct measurment on the wing material.

    All Pro bumpers.

I've hit trees, rocks, dirt, other vehicles, steel, and concrete. Some of it on purpose and others not. No functional damage. Traded a little paint here and there and put a few gouges in things, but still mechanically sound.

And like I've done in all these past all pro bashing threads, pictures = proof. Monkeyproof pretty much covered that one but I'll throw in some as well for those who have any doubts as to the capability of AP's products.

Arb, I've hit vehicles, buildings, trees about 2-3" thick, slammed front end first on washed out drop offs overseas with minimal impact on the bumper and vehicle. ARBs are built with frontal impacts in mind.

Plus - for those that care - tested and x-rayed welds... - Not as good looking or as much clearance but very good for what they are!

Tested :p How do they test every bumper? Do they farm kangaroos just to run them over with every bumper before it leaves the factory?

If it's a straight slider, then yes it looks bent.

But if the slider has a kickout, then it is bent, on purpose, but that the camera angle makes it look like its bent upward as oppose to sideways.
