I have the expos with Bilstien 10" 5150s and I am almost always unloaded in the back during my day to day driving. While the ride is much better with weight in the back, it's not terrible unloaded.... If I'm doing 50 mph down some crazy washboard roads, then yeah, I can feel how stiff the back end is, but potholes, dirtroads, speedbumps aren't that bad...

Sorry for the thread jack, but will the OME nitros work with the expos? Been looking at getting a pair myself and had the same question about stiffness when I'm not towing

I think ill pull the trigger on the expos and reserve my right to remove a leaf if im too high or stiff in the rear.

No you still need all the bushings, there is a new greasable bushing on the end that attaches to the shackle mount. . I have these waiting to go in on my truck so I'll let you know how they are with the Expo Pack & if they make any difference!

The Dakar's have an overload setup which can give a harsher ride (so I'm told, have no personal experience with the Dakar's). I choose the AP Expos basically because I got a deal on them. They are a very comparable, 2.75" compared to 3-4" of lift, No Overload vs Overload. Otherwise they are pretty similar. Well I think so.

just spent $900 at allpro :eek::eek::eek::eek: After talking with them on the phon I went with the standard leafs. I'll see how they are for a while and if I need the OME add a leaf I'll get one later on.

Pretty sure they don't?! The standards don't and the Expos are the same style just with a "20% increase in weight capacity" according to the AP Website.

Edit: Missed the question the first time!
