Considering it is designed to be an off-road product, I couldn't agree more with you.

I do hope they take care of you.

AGREED, but... the brick will spread the load a bit more than the end of a bottle jack.

yea but the cinder block contacted the bumper far away from the mounting points to the frame, thus increasing leverage and increasing likelihood of bending/crumpling. I will do it with something smaller if you guys are still skeptical

Hey i'm trying to address a concern for people who have the bumper, not a hate riot. I no doubt that the new batches will have full welds like the rest of the bumper. Everything is a learning experience and this will enable Allpro the ability to address their manufacturer to fix their product knowing what to look out for. It's a new product and new products will have hidden flaws that come up, this was one of them.

I agree but its still ridiculous considering how much they charge, just to have it fail like that...Its just inconvenient. I understand that stuff like this happens...I mean Toyota just did!

    Just sayin...

If you take your hitch off you still have a support beam which is located in your bumper that is mounted to the frame. You can see it from behind the bumper.

Sucks dude, but honestly not to bright of spot to jack especially considering how tiny the the lifting point of the bottle jack has and the lack of structural integrity there. However I can understand that you would want your bumper to be uber strong and let you use a jack anywhere on it. Gotta have reasonable expectations though. I did notice you don't have the tow hitch option, that would have gave you a solid point to lift from. Good luck. High clearance bumper from ArmorTech (think thats the guy)???

    Looks like an obvious flaw.

As I have studied the pictures you provided it has now become clear that it is impossible to support any significant weight at the location you jacked from.

There is a huge hole presumably where the license plate should be. That cutout has significantly reduced the ability of the bumper to support weight. I would argue that you jacked it from the worst place possible--the center of an ~8" x 1/8" thick section with a giant hole above it.

I don't think the seams were the cause of the failure based on what I stated above. The license plate hole in the bumper is the cause of the weakest part.

Had the hole not been there and the seams fully welded it may have been a different story.

    So sorry for your bumper.

Please do not take offense to my comments. I am only analyzing what I see from the photos. And I'll reiterate that I do hope that All-Pro takes care of you.

I have been, and am talking with Allpro, I want to make this clear that it is a manufacturers flaw for not welding the seams like the rest of the bumpers.

 I need to go do some welding on my AP rear is what it looks like! I sure dont want mine bending like that! Seems like a flawed design on their part if it bends like that. I always thought the center section looked a tad weak, guess I have proof. In the end, I think I'll just design my own rear bumper and make one for my truck- it'll be much tougher and also unique since it will be entirely my design. Once I design it, if anyone is interested in one, be sure hit me up! :)
