    They provide support to the upper portion of the center section. they bolt on where the center section and the wings connect and then kick back and bolt to the top of the winch plate. it's hard to explain but they make sense when you see them.

    SWEET. Mine is supposed to arrive Friday. I also bought the PIAA's about a month ago for about $30 cheaper than All Pro and I have a question about wiring the lights. I have the OEM fog lights and wanted to know what was involved in wiring the lights? Did you just cut the OEM wires and solder to the PIAA's? I skimmed the sticky about "wiring after market lights" but didn't follow it too well. Any advice you could give would be VERY APPRECIATED!

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    when i did mine i just chopped off the stock connector and crimp wired the 510's right in. the colors are different, but the one w/ the black stripe was the ground i believe.

    I left all of the factory wire in tact. I wired the PIAA relay to the battery like you are supposed to but instead of installing the switch i cut it off and tapped the hot (12v) wire from the factory plug. this way the new lights are still supplied by a relay and all factory wiring is still in tact in case i ever need return to the stock lights, and the new lights are switched with the stock fog light switch.

    I wired the PIAA's last week while they installed the bumper. I used the PIAA plug and attached it to the factory wires. At least this way there no need to use the PIAA wiring harness and the factory Fog light button turns them on. Now its time for the Foglight anytime mod.

    Arrggghhh... I'm a mechanical engineer and only use wire to hold stuff together. :D Any chance someone could tell me which color the 12V wire is and maybe show a picture or two? I'm sure it's easy enough for me to do if I could just SEE what you electrically inclined guys are talking about. TIA!

    That's ideally what I'd like to do. If I turn on the fogs then they stay on... if I kill the engine the fogs go off. Any chance you could post a pic or two? I'd owe you a kidney later in life... and I don't drink alcohol... :eek:

    Too tough to get a good shot. The PIAA's will come with a wiring harness, I cut it back a few inches and then attached some crimps. Then I spliced the factory wires and crimped them to the PIAA plug. Then all you need to do is plug them into the lights. I used a light tester to check make sure I had the right Positive/Negative. Takes 5 minutes. You shouldn't have any problems.
