Truck was in the shop for a while dealer was busy . Had oil change and transmission fluid change . By the time I was done with them they barely finished my vehicle . Popular service center they can get busy . Prices are lower than other dealers in the area on services .

ya probably could of done the services myself ..but for the price saved myself the time of wrenching .

I was in the same boat as you '22 TRDORP Manual 33k miles, loved this truck but we purchased a travel trailer and towing with the manual sucked! I only owed $10xxx something but I was able to increase that to $15k and get a TRDOR without premium Hybrid Auto WAY better towing. I no longer have fake leather or a sunroof but didn't need those, the new big screen and power are awesome. Payment went down $125 a month and if I simply pay the same amount I was before it will be paid off close to the same time as the '22 would have been. For me the $4k extra was worth it, really starting to enjoy this new truck.

Wheels, lift, more as I discover them....
4th Gen? Nope, nope, and nope. I too was ready to go for a 24/25 until I read several reviews and climbed in to a new one. Everything inside seemed much less substantial than any Toyota I had ever been it. I never drove a 4th Gen, but the reviews I read made it seem like the new motors are underpowered and this new platform may have some bugs to work out. I guess the biggest thing for me is the known reliability of the 6 cylinder and so I went with a 22 OR with the nice bell / whistles....just my opinion as I LOVE the 4th Gen body-lines. It was a tuff call....

And I thank you for that, this is the reason my '22 was still worth $38k!

You ought to go test drive one. See for yourself. I was impressed.

2025 TRDOR was smoother and more responsive than my 2017 TRDOR, and the hybrid 2025 had much better acceleration - without screaming about it like my 3rd gen.

What review said that the motors are underpowered, especially with respect to your 3rd gen? I’d like to know which reviewers to laugh at.

    I can confirm the reviews. It's 3G owners on a website called TacomaWorld.com who don't own a 4G.

    Indeed.

    My 2017 TRD OR is spec'd at 278 hp @ 6000 rpm / 265 lb-ft @ 4600 rpm (link)

    A 2025 TRD OR is spec'd at 278 hp @ 6000 rpm / 317 lb-ft @ 1700 rpm (link)
    Hybrid version is spec'd at 326 hp @ 6000 rpm / 465 lb-ft @ 1700 rpm (link)

Plus the transmission was so much better in both 4th gen configs when I test drove them.

I'd love to see a drag race between the two generations with both new motor platforms. I guarantee it will be uglier than it reads on paper.

I couldn't find and Florida 4th gens autos to logging chain up to my 3rd gen auto v6 to see what happens in 1st gear 4low no locker or modes and no hybrid. They must be scared because my taco has a bigger motor than the new tundra.

LOL--Trust me......They're not scared. They honestly don't care and have absolutely nothing to prove. Having a "bigger motor than the new tundra" means nothing when it is based on seriously antiquated tech. It's like the guy riding a 1200cc harley thinking he's something special--a 600cc sport bike him would walk him every time if he/she felt the need to put him in his place. All bark, no bite--it seems to be a common theme in both bikes and now trucks too??:)

Hook up a chain???? I will too bad you're not here, my 466 pounds of torque would drag that rediculous 3.5l like a cement block around. Some people just don't understand.

Please stop. Nobody cares to do a fucking truck pull (that proves nothing) with you. it’s not that anyone is scared, it’s that you’re being kinda weird

I wonder if they stick you for the bill for the service done if you went forward with the trade right after. That would be weird.
