Man, everything Hawaiian is sooooo beautiful! Love it! Goddesses everywhere, the surf, the scenery, the vibe, the culture...everything about Hawaii is just so cool. And I'm not talking about any of the haole land grab tourist nonsense, the real shit, the ancestry & foundations of it all. I truly feel displaced here from a previous life.

Tacoholic - No pics of the Tacoma yet because it doesn't come in till July.....I'm already teeming with anticipation. I really wanted to get a Tacoma for a long time...Just couldn't justify it. Now it helps for work and our home. I'm stoked!

Redfox - It's no big deal. I don't have it all that great, truth be told. I got no college degree, no special certifications.....Just grew up with a workman-like environment and was willing to work harder, faster, and longer (if necessary) than the guys around me. Used what I learned and invested in things that interested me. Above all else....Got lucky (bless god). Again, I am not sitting pretty or anything like that, but I can afford to live in Hawaii and have some toys. Even if I don't have much time to play with them. Haha. Hey, main thing is you have fun no matter where you live. When you guys come to Hawaii, we can show you how we do it here!

welcome to the site from california! I'm actually heading to hawaiin in august for a wedding. Going to Maui for a week, not really sure what we have plans, but I think doing some cave tours, seven scared pools, and early morning bike rides/ hikes

 

That sounds like a lot of fun. I think you're gonna have a really nice time. If you're going to Maui, make sure to check out Haleakala and if you have the time, take a roadtrip to Hana. Beautiful place.

 

I did the road to Hana...awesome drive. Although I think I was in a Fiesta rental at the time!

Welcome to TW...what kind of Tacoma do you have on order? 4 x 4?

I ordered a Prerunner DC. Mag gray, 4.0L, Auto with shortbed nad TRD Sport package. With my time & the available accessible areas for off roading in Honolulu, I don't have much need for 4x4. Just enough to get me to our hunting, fishing, and hiking spots.

Hana is awesome. Anyone going should plan to make at least a day of it.

 

You might do yourself a favor and before you take delivery ask them to fix the rear TSB issue.

Thank you for the suggestion. I have been following the feedback on that TSB. You'd think they'd address it before it was delivered anyway right? I'll definitely make sure to have them take care of it.

 

I would, you have a little leverage at this point I would think, and they will want you to fill out a customer satisfaction survey (the salesman lives and dies by these things)...all you need to see is if it comes in with three leaf springs, ask them to do it.

 

Ohhhhhh! Man if you heard my story on the road to my Tacoma, you'd say you've got it easy. Haha!
