I plan on changing my headlights to a brand name called Alpharex. The only thing i noticed that they don't have any for a 2014 2nd Gen. Tacoma. Most of them are made for 05-2011 and other models as well. I would like to get your opinion on the product and recommendation as to what style model of Alpharex would fit my 2014. I'm open to any other brand as well. I'm looking for a all black out housing and smoke lens. Thank you.

I have the Alpha Rex Nova for a 2010. In the process of researching headlights I came across a Morimoto YouTube video for Gen 2.5 Tacoma.

Quite honestly, if you want actual performance, OEM is the way to fly. The aftermarket lights may look cool, but they just don't perform. (And yes, as has already been said, Alpharex sucks.) If your lenses are oxidized and that's why you want new housings, try any of the numerous kits out there to restore them. This can make a huge difference. If they're too far gone, either buy some used OEM units from the Classifieds or get new OEM, then do this:

No argument there, but the difficulty factor does go up a bit.

Love my retrofits but I suspect the new Morimotos headlights @ $1k will be game changing in light output, quality, and looks.

A few mods here and there and counting....
It looks ok and agree on the 1k price tag. Light output should be good, but your retrofit still blows them out of the water in terms of depth. Hard to beat a good quality retrofit set.
