Just bought a pair of the above stated headlights and converter for my 3rd Gen Tacoma SR.

After install, only my Drivers Side Low Beams work. The Passenger side is a flop.

Both High Beams work, and so do the DRL’s. Tried switching wires around, but to no avail. Just my Passenger Low Beams won’t work.

Anyone else facing the same issues or know how to solve this? Anything helps.

    Thanks In Advance!

Other than double checking your wiring, I’d contact vendor, there’re known to be less than quality.

Factory defects? Seek solution from the seller before it's too late.

Best bet is email or call seller, maybe you got a defect headlight. Hopefully you get new pair shipped that’ll work correctly

Return them back to Tacomabeast and never give them another dollar. They think it is funny to vandalize national parks to promote their company.

Much appreciated. Vendor has been contacted, working to return the items for money back.

Any suggestions on new headlights? Have a ‘23 Tacoma SR.

    Thanks in Advance!

I like the side markers. I went with the darker smoked ones, but kind of wish I would have went with the clear... Looks good!

As other have said, avoid Tacomabreast. Nothing but a glorified drop shipper.

When you said “switching the wires around” are you referring to a high/low beam swap, or did you swap the wires from one headlight to the other?

All of the above. Alpharex sent in another pair, claimed they were defective. Should be here by Friday, thankfully.

Cool, glad you got it figured out! The reason I asked that (for anyone googling this in the year 2032...) is to determine if the problem followed the light. So if you took the passengers light and plugged it into the drivers side and it still didn't work, then it is something in the light. If you took the drivers side light and plugged it into the passengers side and it didn't work, then it is something on the truck side.

Ouch. AlphaRex isn’t even a manufacture, they are a white labeler of very cheap low quality Chinese import lights sold at huge markups to uninformed US consumers. OEM lamps are significantly higher performing. AlphaRex is a major downgrade and doesn’t even have a correct headlight pattern, they are a short range flood light. You’d be far better off with a return.

I agree with @crashnburn80….after much research I opted for OEM for couple bucks more. Black Friday looming soon, maybe you can grab a deal on the OEM’s

OEM LED is by far the best headlight available for 3rd Gen.

I have the AlphaRex Novas and I had the same problem.

First and foremost they are an amazing company...

I had the exact same issue with mine after roughly one year, passenger side went out, but high beams worked. I contacted them and sent them a video of the headlight. They shipped me out one free of charge and paid shipping return of my faulty one. Unbeknownst to me, there was a change from last years model to this years model. All four projectors are on and the innermost one (closest to the grill) doubles has the high beam. On the previous model, that projector was only on when the high beams were on. So needless to say my drivers side vs passenger side now looked different. I contacted them and told me the models had updated this year, they again shipped me out a brand new headlight for the driver's side so they would match, free of charge.

I cannot say enough good things about them.
