I had a HALO 9 but I pulled it for another unit because of the in-call volume. The media volume was fine, but I could barely hear the other caller and would either have to pull over to take a call or not take it. Tried a variety of phones (Apple and Android) and reached out to Alpine support and couldn't get it fixed. Google search landed others with the same issue, but as with all electronics it's not too far fetched for some units out of the mass produced would have issues. Oddly enough this was my second Alpine head unit with this same issue, different vehicles so maybe it's a me and Alpine thing.

Anyways, other than that loved the unit, it was big and beautiful.

Went with the JVC KW-Z1000W. In-call volume hasn't been an issue since and I love the big screen.

My Kenwood fit nicely. All steering controls function. It's a step below the one you pictured, I paid half that. Lol. Nothing too fancy.

Following for ideas. I'd like to swap my head unit for something with apple CarPlay and retain Navigation. I like Kenwood's stuff better than Pioneer at the moment. Already have the speakers, amps, and sub done. :rockband:

Can you post a picture of the Actual radio and did he lose any factory functions?

I have this one as well. I love it. I do wish the phone call volume was a little louder. I have it all the way up. It is probably fine for most people, but my hearing is not what it used to be. If you have any tips on how to increase that, let me know.

Otherwise, I love it. The integration of cameras is good too. I installed a front camera and any time I am driving 10 mph or under, the front camera automatically comes on. Great for slower offroading. The sound quality of the JBL speakers also improved.

Top corner to opposite bottom corner, is the screen 10.1 or is the bezel 10.1?

I have put in Racesport gen3 leds I'm the process of doing a custom audio overhaul which will include Hybrid audio unity 6x9 mid bass, unity 3 inch mid driver in the dash and fiberglassing tweets in pilar soundeading all the doors, floors, and headliner and I will be using a helix processor to retain the factory radio and as far as subs I might make custom brackets to move rear seat foward a few inches to get a full size sub in there or I might just go with a pair of jl tw5 or tw3 and it will all be powered by jl audio HD amps or I might try out the new hybrid amps
I’ve done a ton of halo f509 because they fit the dash well, I also do a ton of stinger height10
