    Hey guys,

Im interested in switching my head unit for the Alpine halo9. Is there a specific kit i can purchase with the harness and everything or do I have to purchase everything seperatly?

Thank you but this really doesn't tell me anything, just details about the head unit itself.

If you think the resolution of the backup camera sucks now, just wait until you install this unit. I suggest reading the reviews on Crutchfield

I put one in a few months back.
    Apple CarPlay win win.
    Great sound system.
Resolution not the greatest but forgivable.

I like the size but hate the tv on a wall look with how far it sticks out from the dash.

Whatever go android head unit...better fit, better options, does a ton more things than the competition. Left is wireless carplay, right is streaming youtube. If i could upload video, youd see the endless thing this can do. Carplay is a minor feature for these things while for alpine and pioneer, its there only feature

I debated one of those but I followed the threads on here and the Dasaita and JOYING units both seem to have issues and bugs with no manufacturer support.

Its not for everyone, but id have to argue that the t9 has far better support than the alpines or kenwoods. The fb group has been more than adequate. Theres not a single day that we dont find new applications for the t9. Just the other day an app developer came in and we created a custom radio app. While alpines and kenwoods are straight forward and pretty much idiot proof, that also dictates thier limitations. They dont have many options that can go awry. The t9 has unlimited applications and thus requires a little more knowledge to maximize the user experience...not to say it doesnt work out of the box. We all get unlimited support and a 1 year money back guarantee. The owner of cartrimhome is an active member and always makes things right by his clients.
I doubt you have the owners of kenwood or alpine on you messenger list that you can message at anytime and get an immediate response. It is the second best mod next to ovtune and i wouldnt have it any other way. Btw the dasita and joying customers come to us for thier support, and while they dont get cth guarantee, we do help all that post questions

The big incentive for those android units is that they look most like stock on the 3G, but I dunno. I guess I need to read up more on them, in particularly how easy it is to switch sources - on regular units you can do this with face buttons, which is a drawback for a unit with no buttons.

I need to do some serious research on that.

My idea of a perfect stereo receiver is one that boots fast, goes straight to apple carplay without any input, and has minimal bugs/issues. I guess if you want to split screen youtube and do your taxes at the same time on your headunit, then the android unit is the way to go lol. Different strokes etc...

Like i said, its not for everyone. I would not recommend this to my dad who isnt tech savy at all, but lets not exagerate how complicated a tablet is. One button press to get carplay going. One button to get hotspot working. Actually most things are just a few buttons away. Learning a new system is the only issue. And this is actually really fast. Never been an android guy, but its better than an ipad in my estimation

The drawback of face button is its limited. Heres my screen interface, i can change any button to any app. I wish i could show u video. AF123C6D-6014-48F0-AE53-5F6435FCBC12.jpg
