    I’ve been going to this shop for 15 years, I personally haven’t had any issues here.     I just picked up one for under $700 on ebay. Sonic Electronix took an offer of $799.99 and then I applied the coupon code PRIMOSALE for an extra 15% off. Can't wait to get this thing!

    I still dont understand why everyone is paying 1000 bucks for what amounts to a glorified media player with a crappy, non HD screen? and then on top of it, you have to spend more money on the adapters, and camera to get it to work correctly....all that for Android auto or Carplay?

    You can get the same functionality out of a PAC loc, and hook it up to a inexpensive DSP, and run your phone direct to the DSP which feed the amps and get killer sound.

    I think the 9" screen is great. Love the touch-responsiveness and I think the resolution is perfect for Android Auto. You don't need another camera, it works with the stock one.

    Android auto is a must for me I want it on a large built-in touch screen, not my little phone.

    I get that, but is it worth 1000 bucks, im not arguing the functionality, im arguing the cost/benefit of the unit. i mean, it doesnt even come with built in GPS

    Gotcha, the value for each person will definitely vary. My wife thinks I'm stupid with half the stuff I do hehe.

    I consider it worth $1000 for the large screen.

    I tried a Kenwood HU before with a 7" screen for $600 and didn't think that was worth it. The GPS didn't matter to me too much since I'll always have my phone connected for the GPS. If there was a $1200 version with GPS, I wouldn't have gotten it. There are some 7" Kenwood units for $1200 that have DVD, GPS, etc, but the smaller screen isn't of value to me.

    Also when they come out with a newer version of this with wireless android, I'll sell this for whatever it's worth at the time and buy the newer one.
