    you should look for the tacoma trd pro build thread on diyma. its simple but really clean with amps under the front seats.

    Awesome install. Love the subs!

    I'm also planning on putting in a camera switcher, but the alpine cameras are so damn expensive. I'm planning on going with
    JCOLI 4 Way Car Video Switch Parking Camera 4 View Image Split Screen Control Box
    this 4 camera switcher for $39 and maybe putting a camera on each side mirror somehow, in addition to a front one.

    Also, do you still have the rear camera's parking lines? I'm tempted to switch mine out just to get rid of those lines so I can use the much higher resolution ones built into the Halo9. The rear camera is powered by 6v and 4 wires so it would have to be a 6v camera unless you run another line. The wires also have reverse voltage...the black wire is 6 volts higher than the red, weird.

    I still have the factory lines and camera. The factory camera resolution looks like crap on the screen. I might replace it later

    Also how did you get the firestick to work? Did you use your phones wifi to access the firestick?
    Then if you used the usb port to power the firestick how are you using android auto if not using usb port on the back of HU? H
    How are you mirroring the droid screen? USB-C to HDMI?

    Looks like the Halo9 is the fix, but I think I read somewhere on TW that there is no wireless/bluetooth connection so will need to plug phone in manually? Not the end of the world, but just checking...

    Entune almost made me trade the truck. Honestly, the biggest head-exploder is the damn entune unit autoplaying some random track from my phone everytime bluetooth connects (or phone is hard connected via usb). Ill be on a work call, get in the truck and the f-cking thing blasts the music over the call. I can make the truck "forget" the bluetooth and just use the aux cable for speakerphone, but if I need to charge the phone, in goes the USB and BOOM! Time for some random-ass music (seems like its always my 4 year olds "let it go" tune from frozen somehow... AND IM NOT LETTING THIS GO!!).

    No wireless on the Halo9. I'll probably upgrade when they come out with the new version, but that probably won't be for quite a while. Kenwood and JVC have wireless android/carplay models, but they are 7" screens and I didn't think that screen size was worth it.

    One issue I'm having is that callers can hear themselves. I'm not sure what setting to adjust to stop that. I'm currently using the mic that came with the Halo9 in the stock mic location.

    That might be your issue. I asked my installer to put mine in the stock location and they told me no because it wouldn’t sound good.

    I'm planning on adding front and side cameras, so I installed a switch box. I can set it to switch to left right when I activate the turn signals or any camera manually with a little 4-way switch it comes with.

    I also went ahead and changed out the rear camera to get rid of the factory guide lines. I made a 3D printed bracket to hold the new camera in position.
