Those look right to me. That thread has pics and gives step by step on what to do to make the harness 100% plug and play. Great instructions. Should be pinned at the top imo

That should work with the power pack right?

So the alpine doesn't have red wires. Which wires did you connect to it?

Remind me what colors the alpine has instead of the red wires

Orange and black should be the illumination wire, for dimming. The Amp wont need that.

To clear up confusion, I just installed this amp and instead of red wires coming from the Alpine harness, it’s a yellow one. Also, in the Kicker Key harness, there are two pre-soldered red wires and two pre-soldered black wires. On the Alpine unit, it’s just one black (ground) and one yellow (battery). I spliced the ground wire into the Metra ground wires (3 wires connected) and I spliced the yellow wire from the Alpine harness to the two yellow wires on the Metra harness (3 wires).

I checked the fuse to the radio, and it’s 20A, which means you can hardwire right to the harness making this 100% plug and play. Watching the above video, he states his radio was not 15A, which is what’s needed for this amp. So he had to run a wire to the battery and ground to the chassis.

After setting this up and plugging it into my radio, it sounds awesome! Definitely not necessary to run this to the battery.
