    Hello,
I was looking at buying the alpine power pack mini amp,I have a 2011 Toyota tacoma double cab.I have already installed the kenwood x993 head unit which i really like,I was going to modify the plugs on the power pack to work with the kenwood.I was wanting to know if anyone has done this before and where would be a good place to put this little amp.I looked but there is very little room behind the head unit and under the dash.I wanted to keep it close to the head unit so i would not have to run extra wire.

I have Alpine power pack amp modified to work with my Pioneer Z2. What a great investment to boost my speakers which I've replaced all the way around. I mounted the power pack above the glove box. Open you glove box, there is a black cover that can be remove very easily. I mounted it using heavy duty double sided tape. It will sit right side up, hidden and out of view and the cord is perfect length.

I have the KTP 445 as well in the same place. It is held in place by some velcro. I have it hooked up with my Alpine CDA 105 and it works good.
Thinking of some other plans with my stereo so might be selling it soon if anyone is interested let me know.

Once the glove is open, drop it down, so you have room to work with. I believe there is one screw holding it down, can't remember. But, yes the space is more than enough to hold the power pack and the wires are easily reached.

Ok,I opened my glove box,I think i see what you are talking about,It's 1 bolt,It kind of looks like a star or hex bolt?It is where the lock is when the glove box close shut.

Ok,I opened it and i see where you said it would sit on top of the plastic part,It might be just me or i could be wrong but the plastic part seems kind of flimsy to me,That amp wont be to much weight to sit on that would it?or does it go above that plastic part mounted upside down?or does it sit on top of the plastic part that is held by one screw? Thanks!!sorry for all the questions.

That's it. It will hold the amp just fine, right side up, hidden out of view. I really can't explain any more than that. Theres plenty of space and 06TXED and mine is proof of that.

x2 space is not that big of an issue but a few times I have thought that the plastic is a little flimsy. Thinking of zip tieing the amp up to the metal dash support bar only if I feel like it.

    Alpine HU - Wow :)
For a super stealth look I'd get one! After paying $110 for one, I could offset that cost with a decent $150 amp pushing more wattage. I know it's a pain hooking everything up.
