i had the same problem. i had billys up front at 2" and i wanted a bit more lif so i bought the rough country 3" rear and 2" up front, they put the billys down to stock and added a 2" puck on top of them and then 3" blocks with extended rough county shocks, i am going to take the puck and set the bills at 2.5" here in a little but it will defiently take you scrubbing tire problem away my 265s look like 225s on my truck and i know i can run 295 if i really wanted to but i hae the 2.7L so i dont want to kill my gas, but the lift was $270

As light as that truck is get the ome 881's and run the 5100's at 0. Your stock could are not stiff enough. You can get a set of coils for $169.00 and will easily take you another inch.I have a 3 inch body lift on my truck and 881's with 5100's all around 33x12.50's never rub. But I would highly suggest staying away from the body lift. It was hell and my biggest issue is I had to lengthen my fuel filler and it came with the tubes to make it longer. Bit now it leaks horribly when I fill up. It takes me 5 min to put 20 bucks in. I've tried.different hoses extra clamps and it still leaks. Its really annoying. Then you have to cut your shift lever and weld on an extender to make it shift right (auto tyranny). Not to mention relocating the condensor and radiator. Its a nightmare. Do suspension lifts. Not the cheap spacer lifts for your coils either they fuck up the ride quality and make your suspension bottom outwhich causes the shock absorbers to blow a seal out. Im telling you this out of first hand experience. I finally wised up and got good stuff and I'm extremely happy I did. Its safer, you have better handling, and you don't feel like your driving a trampoline. My 2¢

get those small top plate spacers, they arent really thick enough to impact anything. they do give almost an inch of lift though

If you do get the 1 inch spacer get a good one like a cnc machined aluminium. Don't get the poly spacers. I wouldn't recommend going any bigger than 1 inch. Ride quality will be awful

When I went from 245/75r16 to 285/75r16 my around town milage improved .5 to 1 mpg, I dont drive on the highway enough to check the milage. But with mixed driving I've got 25.5 mpgs before.

So if I go with the spacers. I know I might need aftermarket uca's but do I need them for.better handling or to stop the tires from wearing out prematurely?

If your going to spend money on uca's you might as well go with a good lift instead. Honestly man you'd be crazy to spend 50 bucks one the spacers, then 350 bucks on uca's when you could get the old man emu 881 coils for $169. But I would definitely run them on the lowest setting that the 5100s have. And I would also get a front differential drop kit either way you do it. $15-20. So $189 vs $420. The choice is clear and you'll be a lot happier with it. :)
