Already have Billy 5100s -- which OME coil for small lift?

My 2011 regular cab has Bilstein 5100s front and back from the previous owner.

Since I got it, I added a rear bumper and often have heavy stuff to haul for work or for camping, so I just bought a 2" Wheeler's AAL... mistakenly thinking I would just adjust the front Bilsteins up to their max lift to match.

Thankfully, I've read a lot on this forum tonight and learned that it may not be wise to max out the front Billys on a 2nd gen.

So anyway, if I already have 5100s in the front and will use the 2" Wheeler AAL in the back, what OME coil might I choose for the front without needing UCAs? Maybe the 883 with the Billy at .85" or... 884 at 0"?

Would appreciate any advice very much!

The front 5100 has 4 positions so I run mine at third up position putting front up 1.75-2" with stock coils and my ride is OK and no UCAs required. Your rear may be slightly higher unloaded as mine is but levels when loaded. I replaced all brake lines with 2" (or 4") longer braided. Your driveshaft angle will change so many posts on that issue. Many opinions on lifting out there as you will see.

Here is Bilstein 5100's on 0" with OME 883's and a Headstrong Offroad 1.5" AAL in the rear:

Since you have a 2" AAL I would go with the 884's. Just note, the AAL's typically are 1.5" without the overload leaf in and 2" with the overload leaf in. I left my overload leaf out to retain the 1.5" rear lift.

I had 5100's with 885 springs and a rear aal w/ overload. I have a us off road low pro front bumper with winch, sliders, and a camper shell. I replaced the 885 springs with 886's and love the height. But my rear sags now so I will need new springs for the rear b/c of the shell.
Without the shell, bumper/winch, and sliders I think the 885's with the add a leaf would have been just fine and a good ride height and comfy ride.
pic of 885's with aal and no extra weight. 265/70/17 good year duratracs

Thanks very much, I was unaware of the possible need for longer brake lines so I'll do some research on that!

That's very helpful... I have an overload leaf in right now, so with that information you've provided I'll have some options (take out the overload) if the back is too high. Thanks again!

Wow, that looks fantastic. I think I'll install the AAL, add regular camping weight (roof top tent, cooler, etc) and see how it sits... might turn out I wanna be using a 885 or 886. Very helpful, thank you for replying!

Running 884's with 5100's set at 0 in a DCLB. Maintained a small amount of rake but close to level. I like the setup, think it lifted 1.75" or so

If I remember I'll try to take a pic from the side of it now with all the weight added plus the new 886 springs up front.

Don't quote me on this but I think either Bilstein or OME doesn't recommend running the 5100's with the 886's. Just double check that though.

It's my understanding that this is b/c of the 886's higher spring rate may over work the 5100 leading less shock life. With this said, I run this combo b/c I already had the 5100's. When they wear out, I'll change them to OME nitros if I stay with the 886 springs. There are a handfull, maybe more, that run this set up and haven't had any issues. Not to say that means all concerns are unfounded but just extra info.
If you don't plan on running any weight at all in the front like a bumper but want extra height over the 885's, then use the 887's. If you are okay with slightly over 2 inches of lift with no weight and a nice ride, use the 885s with the 5100's.

With the 885's, i was on stock uca's and had my caster right over 2. It drove just fine with no wander. ( i was coming from a solid axle 4runner on 35's before that so I may not be the best to compare road handling comfort b/c my bar wasn't set very high in that department before).
with the 886's I have JBA uca's and my caster is 4.5.
