I have thought about what kind of tacoma i want now. It took weeks but I feel I that this tacoma is what I need.

    Specs: 2009 Tacoma Off Road
Standard Bed, Access Cab, 4x2 PreRunner, 4.0-Liter V6, 6-Speed Manual

So on the toyota website its going for $25,640

On edmunds the TMV price for this truck is $22,000

What are my chances on getting this for $19,000 cash on the spot.

I figured since its the end of the month, the recession, CA Car tax increases
and the fact that toyota has not been selling like it used to be
can get me this car for $19,000.

I will be going to the dealership to see what happens, fingers crossed,
What are some tips I can do for haggling with these car salesmen?

    Thanks,

    First time car buyer.

Where do you live, what dealer are you going to?

Sometimes they offer you 0% apr for 60 months. Do you have good credit?

im sure pricing is based a lot of region and demand, but my local dealership would not even let me buy a 2005 access cab for below 20 or 21K. and this was like 6 months ago too and a v6 4x4.

    Im in Orange COunty, CA

Really? 0 APR for 60? The deal on the toyota website was 1000 factory rebate or 2.9 apr, interesting...

I figure I have good credit, I'm 21 I have 2 credit cards that I pay off in full every month. They each have 2,000 credit limit on them, I'm not really interested in financing unless it is 0 apr for 60 months. I just want to pay it off in full and not get dinged by the interest. I'm still in college but I'm really interested in getting this beast of a truck.

You must have made a typo, I read 4x2 PreRunner when I think you meant to type 4x4 TRD. :D
