My girlfriend and I are planning to take a trip up to Utah Alstrom Point. I been wanting to check this location out for a while now. Wanted to get the most useful information and tips from some of you on here that might have been there before.

From what Ive read online theres a trail you can drive to get to the destination. Few questions for you guys.

    1. Im truckless for now but we have a 2021 Rav4 TRD off road stock. Will this be enough to get to Alstrom Point? We have the basic recovery stuff like maxtrax, shovel, spare etc...

    2. Is camping allowed in this area?

    3. We plan to go at the end of September. Is this ok time to go? We've been to Moab in September a couple of years ago and the weather was great so im assuming its going to be similar.

    4. How's the cell phone service in this area?

    Any information is appeciated. Thanks

Literally just got back from there.
    1) Yes. Sprinters go there all the time, mostly dirt road with 3 miles of rock garden (basketball size or smaller) at the end.
    2) Yes. You're remote with a frequently visited fragile environment, so pack it out, pack it in (including human waste).
    3) Should be good: the area is exposed so it'll be hot during the day and windy at night. Use your car: either sleep inside or pitch your tent in the lee. Highly recommend an awning (fancy or tarp) if you're hanging out there during the day.
    4) Some poor/dropped areas on the way in, good signal up top (couple bars and slow internet).
