I have a 2005 Tacoma... I am wondering if there is any other model truck that is compatible with mine for the alternator

You have to at least provide the basic details of your vehicle. 6 or 4, towing package or no? Those things are critical in selecting the right alternator.

You could also just jam your specs into the autozone or napa website and it will spit out a part number.

Like ABNFDC says, is it a 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder? And a V6 with the tow package has the heavy duty alternator. Most auto parts stores can input your trucks VIN# and their system will tell you exactly what to buy. Good luck.
