They tried to call the tundra the T-150, Ford threw a hissy fit that it was too similar to F-150 and sued Toyota to stop them from calling it that.

Isn't Chevy doing a Colorado ZR-2 Bison? Should be a TRD-PRO Buffalo to compete. Only color choices are red/white/blue Bills jobber and chicken wing orange.

Savagely accurate for 99% of raptors. Alternatively, Tacoma DD with expendable income

    The current names are nonsensical.

The Pro to me means dependability, and since this is a truck, it should have long bed and more tool storage, suspension neant for on-road and gravel roads with small diameter wheels and a smooth ride etc.

The Sport to me means quick and speedy, very agile so lower profile tires, short bed, MT, and top of the line exhaust.

The off-road to me means more ground clearance, better approach angles, bigger all terrain tires, lockers/crawlers and the best off road suspension.

The Limited to me means basic, no frills, low priced and access cab.

Or maybe the “Pro” means equiped with the best parts Toyota has (not Could have) from the factory? As in it’s equipped to be more capable than the other two trd trims, i.e. it IS the name for Toyota’s “Raptor” already... :notsure:

TRD off road is equipped with AT tires, skid plates, electric diff, and bilsteins tuned for well... off roading.

The sport has 17” street tires and the suspension is tuned for daily street driving

The limited is the more luxurious trim that you don’t see a lot of, hence “limited”

There’s a method to Toyota’s madness in naming these trucks
