The odometer button on my truck doesn't work anymore and am looking for another way to reset my maintenance light. Can it be reset with any cheap scantool?

Nope, only way to reset it is with the trip button. There's no scan tool function to reset it like there is on some vehicles.

Pretty sure Toyota Techstream will allow you to reset the maintenance light.

It’s been a while since I’ve used it but I’m pretty sure that was one of the options in the menu

Have you tried blowing a can of duster in there?

or say fkit and put a piece of electrical tape over the light...

Not on a 2nd gen, we have to use the trip button/ignition sequence to reset it.
