I have to agree that Toyota's reputation for building quality vehicles no longer holds true. My 2010 Tacoma has 106,000 miles on it, but the vehicle has been consistently maintained and very carefully driven. So, the regularly occurring, significant number of repairs the vehicle has required is extremely disappointing (and yes, I am a frustrated owner.) These repairs include, drive line, brake, bearing, and steering repairs, among other minor items. Now I face a $2500 drive shaft and rear bearing replacement bill. All-in-all a huge disappointment considering what a fantastically reliable vehicle my previous Toyota, a 1997 4Runner, was.

Some may consider the use of robots in Toyota's manufacturing process the primary culprit in these quality issue, but my impression is that Toyota's engineering department may be equally or more at fault for substandard designs on this vehicle.
Signed: a pissed off and soon-to-be former Toyota owner.
