FN wheels! Dustin is the definition of great customer service! just picked up a set of countersteer type x in 17, they weigh right under 21 lbs.

I own a set of (5) SCS BR6 blems and so far have been quite happy with them. I wasn't in a huge rush so it worked out fine and the price was good. Another person said the finish is less than stellar - I make no judgement since mine are blems anyways but they look good (not perfect, don't care for offroading though). You can cry about their model all you want but seems like their product is quality and in that weight range. Paired them with a C load tire and dropped weight and my MPGs are happy.

Had I not gone that route I would get FN Wheels like many others have said. I was originally going to buy the FN fx Pro wheels but they were out of stock and appear to still be out of stock until December or even 2022. Same with the FN Konig Countersteer Type X. So purely from an availability standpoint are they any better? Great products, I would not hesitate to buy them.

I need 17" wheels to clear future big brakes which limits selection, if you only need 16" then more selection is available. Same goes for wheel width: many are 8" wide which can limit tire sizes depending how big you go.

Methods are nice but higher cost. Same goes for just about all the other brands. Volks are definitely premium and have their legitimate use case beyond just a "flex" but you've already made up your mind so whatever.

Sounds like you are only here to stir the pot. Boring and not productive. Pandemic has affected all supply chains. Get over it and just buy what you like.

I've settled on 17x8.5" FN five stars. I have no problem with waiting. FN will take my pre-order and ship the wheels when they're available. Out of Stock is far different than manufactured scarcity.

    OEM? Nice.

I'm ambivalent towards most of the Tacoma OEM wheels. I do not like these:

Check my build thread...too much to list.
You do realize SCS isn't this massive company right? It may not seem like it because it's big on TW. Vin is a guy who started out on TW, designing and making rims based on Toyotas. Is there things that could be done differently? Sure, but he has to manage his company in a way that makes sense to him and doesn't sink it in the process.

Can't meet customer demand... Customers go else where..... and the ship sinks eventually..... No more customer!
If it's just a side job it's starting to show.

Kind of a long over night.
Having shortages back as far as 2017 isn't exactly over night. kind of a long bed time to be having napping.
