    hi, I have a 2002 toyota tacoma 2.7L 4x4 manual
while trying to change the belts my buddy snapped the tensioner bolt on it. I m realizing how much of a pain it is to find one....does anyone know the bolt thread size? it s an 8mm bolt that is about 4 inches long that goes into the tensioner block. one of the shops I ve asked has asked me the bolt thread size and I have no answer...cheers

M8, 1.25 pitch, length needs to be close to the original but doesn't have to be exact.

I broke one of those recently and replaced it with a stainless bolt from ACE Hardware. Take the parts of your old bolt in and they can help you match it.

The A/C, steering pump, and alternator tensioners all use the same bolt. If you need to make the truck drivable while you search for a new bolt, remove the A/C belt and put the two good bolts in the steering pump and alternator tensioners.
