Adding the Warn semi hidden winch mount and the EVO VR 10 to my Tacoma soon. Anyone else with a similar setup recommend what kind of upgrades I would need as far as battery or alternator or both??

I've added a Harbor Freight 12K Apex winch to my Tacoma. Still using the stock battery. As long as you leave the truck running while using the winch, you won't have an issue.

Since you connect the winch directly to the battery, the winch will draw directly on the battery; not the alternator.

When it is time to replace my battery, I'll upgrade to something more than the current 575 CCA's. For now, it's acceptable.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
As stated with the engine running as long as the charging system works like it should your fine.

Then it is the charging system providing the output to the battery

Even a dual battery set up with out doing the math will not last all that long with the engine not running or charging system not working.

A high output alternator of course only works with the engine running .
