I will add that I could do a package deal for this and the drawer system...
If I was anywhere but Florida this stuff would be gone....

Yup. Location and having just dumped my fun money into a new bike build are what’s keeping me from taking it off your hands.

    Love those things. GLWS!

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Yep. If it was the Canopy Camper I would have already driven down there.
Pretty amazed this stuff is still around.

The real issue with water is actually sealing up the bed of the Tacoma. There are large areas in the front that need to be filled , and the tailgate needs a good deal.
    Thanks

If you’re referring to the drawer system, it’s all from 8020 or T-nutz.

I have the same canopy in the light grey color with about all the options. The real problem keeping the box dry I find is where the composite bed meets the steel bed at the top inside of the truck box sides if that makes any sense. I can keep the water out where the canopy meets the bed rails, but water spray on the highway goes up between the metal box side and the inner composite bed and out the point where they meet when driving Toyota did nothing to seal that gap. That is one reason why I went with a canopy + RTT and not an integrated tent-canopy combo. I figured the truck bed could always be wet so just plan on it. I keep all my gear in 56 qt Plano sportsman trucks (a medium size). That keeps everything dry. Doesn't take much, not that much water comes in anyway. That trunk size happens to be perfect to get in and out of the side doors with accessory boxes installed.

I think to get the bed sealed you'd have to pull the box sides off and put sealant of some thin foam strip between the metal and the composite bed. That woudn't be hard to do for a body shop, probably just 2-3 hours labor.

Anyone who wants to know about these canopies or the accessories can message me for details or opinions. I am very happy with my setup.

Don’t tell me that about the water issues ;(
I was about to order the tent/canopy combo possibly, as friend of mine lives in a GFC and has some serious issues with hers.
I really like having access to the tent from the bed.

Spend a little time with a hose and find the intrusion points and seal them up. Toyota obviously didn’t intend the bed to be waterproof from the factory.

Truth. It’s just a poor bed design from Toyota. The 3rd gens just seem to be the worst.

Anyone that has a topper, cap, cover, tonneau of any kind on a 3rd gen that hasn’t done any sort of water mitigation and says they have no leaks is full of shit.

What up bro! Yeah, I have never had a topper or cover.
Always have run bars. This will be my first camper.
