Aluminum contractor cap for all 6 foot beds, perfect color for a silver Tacoma

It has rear and side opening windoors, I have keys for the locking t-handles, plus front sliding window

The only bad: Small amount of damage to one side of roof rack (see image, does not affect looks or use of the rack IMO) and drivers side windoor could use a new strut (although it is still functional and will lift and hold itself open as is, been like this for a while no need to fix it)

 

Nice, could you get the four length measurements where it mounts to the truck? (Front, back, 2 sides)

 

Yeah braj, nice avatar btw, and it’s for a 2nd gen, which I mention because it looks like you drive a 2017, I know the main difference in fitment between 2nd and 3rd gen is the front rail, just don’t remember if it’s higher or lower on the 3rd... this cap has a small gap at the front rail that I have filled in w/ hdpe foam gasket so that little extra room may work in your favor if mounting on a 3rd gen, I’ll measure that too... measurements incoming soon...

 

Ok if it fits your 2nd Gen exact then it won’t fit a 3rd Gen, the bed is a few inches different. Nonetheless I’ll wait and see the measurements

 

Ok so measurements are slightly rough but I’ll do my best to describe and it should give you what you’re looking for:

57 inch wide bar at the front (towards cab) and it is 3/4 inch lower than the side rails, this is the interior dimension so if your bed is 57.0001 inches wide or wider at the front it will fit there

55 3/4 inches wide at the rear interior dimension between the inside of the two side rails (accounts for slight Tacoma bed taper)

74 inches in length, this is measured from the inside of the rear windoor frame to the inside of the front rail

 

Not gonna lie, just remembered the dude I bought it from in 2016 sold it to me because he got a third gen and figured it wouldn’t fit, he was a carpenter so I trust his judgment somewhat

 

To anyone else looking... big price drop if you come get this sweet aluminum cap from my house in Exeter, Rhode Island sometime this week, pm for details only if truly interested pls

Any idea what freight cost might be? If it's under $500, I'd cover it in full, but I haven't even looked into it. Such a nice cap though. I'd rather have aluminum than a fiberglass cap, so nothing cracks.

 

I have not looked in to freight either... I would guess it’s almost never worth it for a used cap. Thanks for the interest. I should’ve done it earlier but I just got home; I have a buyer locally for this weekend tentatively.
