I am looking to sell my first prototype of a flatbed for midsize trucks!

Price: $2,500 OBO without storage box. With Storage Box, price is $3,000. We are located in the Los Angeles Area and will install the tray for free and we can discuss how you want to deal with your bed upon purchase. If you are unsure, feel free to come and check it out! We have some new mudflaps that can be put on as well.

The flatbed itself functions well and offers an alternative with more storage space, more mounting solutions and increased ground clearance for the ultimate combination of utility for work and for fun. The truck uses unistrut channel as its main mounting point and is decked in aluminum plank decking. This decking can be removed and any 1" board can be added in place of it.

The overall dimensions are 81” long by 72” wide. The flatbed was originally designed around a 3rd generation long bed Tacoma and is 2 inches shorter than the stock overall length but with far more usable bed space. The truck pictured is mine and the truck is currently running on 35s with a 2.5" lift but the height of the flatbed can be adjusted upon install. The height of the racks can also be adjusted and both racks can be removed.

It is framed with aluminum while the doors, bar work and wheel wells are steel. The doors are currently backed with stained wood but this can be removed and re-finished with other types of 1/2" thick material. Overall this flatbed with the doors only weighs around 320 lbs which is comparable to the weight of the stock bed and stock rear bumper on a Toyota Tacoma.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

Any interest in building one for this? That would be sweet on the Tundra.

But in all seriousness. I have been thinking hard on going UTE. Looks to me you have a very nice product. The price point makes the purchase extremely tempting.

Dude…that’s 3k installed! And it’s a perfect bare bones setup.
If they had a 1/3 or 1/2 canopy enclosure that would slide in, I would be on my way!
