Yeah I saw the Victory 4x4 Blitz video and I am okay with cutting the bottom portion. I just prefer not to cut into and remove the upper portion. I’ll take a look as more options you all have provided are great!

Your better off the embrace cutting. These no cut offerings usually end uo scratching the bumper to hell anyways and your repainting the bumper to return to stock anyways.

If you want quality aluminum your going to have to pay for it as it is simply a far more expensive material.

I have had my no hoop greenlane on for a couple of years now and have 0 complaints about it excellent build quality and likely the best powder coat you will ever come across.

Fantastic point! It's worth noting that these bumpers attach to the frame, and your factory plastic bumper attaches to the body. The body and frame flex independently of each other... so if the metal bumper is in close proximity to the plastic bumper, they will rub and you will destroy the plastic (and metal) bumper finish. See below quote for a real world example.

i'm curious where the $750 imposed limit comes from. i mean, none of us give away our work for free, that's how we can all afford a $35k+ truck. why should any other company that makes parts?

Good on OP for having a threshold/limit... but he's not going to find anything that checks all of his boxes at that limit...

Edit: barring finding a great deal on a used unit.

    4 run, 2 don't
Was meaning to say something along those lines

Aluminum is more expensive both as a raw material, as well as the labor to work said material

People that bend or weld steel can be found all day long, but far less deal with aluminum alone

On top of that, inflation is bringing everything up

Friend just dropped off 4' x 8' of steel so I can make him a rear bumper

I personally set a budget for myself and value things a bit differently than you. I have seen these bumpers range from 650-1200 and was asking if anyone knew of a brand that would be in that price range. You can easily get a $300 roof rack but I ended up paying for a Prinsu, just like you can easily get a $350 Amazon bumper. I’m not devaluing the work that goes into the bumpers, I just have a budget.

Unfortunately I got the DV8 right before this version came out, it's on my truck now, but not for long. The way these mount makes them weak, I could move the bumper around with one finger in the shackle mount, you can see it flex on the back plate where it mounts to the 3 studs on the frame. That is only a mounting bracket, then it mounts the bumper to the bracket with 4 bolts and nuts, 2 on each side. This is similar to the way their new one mounts, it's weak and doesn't work for me.
The fitment is shit too. When I ordered on it Amazon, I called DV8 and spoke to them about issues with the rear bumpers stock trailer wiring harness that doesn't reach where their hole is, I was assured that isn't the case.
It is the case! It's about 2 inches short, luckily I purchased a Diode Dynamics trailer hitch mount light and that actually fixed the issue because it wires directly into the stock harness and basically made it an extension. I will not get anything else from DV8. I seriously doubt this bumper will hold up to holding a winch, let alone actually winching with it! I do not have a winch installed in mine and it is still weak as shit.

I do have a Blitz on order from Victory and can't weight to get this DV8 bumper off of my truck!
